During your stay at the Savoy 1350 apartment in Sydney, you may want to arrange for the phone to be connected, rent a mobile phone or have internet access available at your Sydney apartment.

ON-DEMAND COMMUNICATION SERVICES : BROADBAND, TELEPHONE, MOBILE
The Fat Free Fone Company, our communications partner, offers three services that enable you to keep in touch with friends and colleagues while you stay with us. Book online or call when you arrive for simple, great value services.

ON-DEMAND BROADBAND

What is it?
A wireless broadband service that works not only in your apartment, but anywhere in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth and Adelaide. You can be online on the sofa, on the balcony, at home, at work, even on the train.

What do I need?
You'll just need to rent one of our special modems to connect (the wireless built-in to your laptop is a different flavour and won't work).

  • USB modem - Broadband-to-go for any PC or Mac with a spare USB slot.
  • PC card - Broadband-to-go for most PC laptops with a PC card slot, or for 15" or 17" Mac PowerBooks
  • Ethernet modem - Powerful and very simple, but mains powered so portable, not mobile.
  • Wi-Fi hotspot kit - A plug-and-play wireless network for sharing your broadband (includes ethernet modem & router)

    • How much is it?

  • USB modem/PC card/Ethernet modem - $10 per day for the first 30 days, then just $5 per day
  • Wi-Fi hotspot kit - $15 per day for the first 30 days, then just $8 per day
  • Connection - $25 once off (includes delivery)
  • Deposit - $300 per modem, $400 per Wi-Fi hotspot kit
  • Data - 50MB data per day included (averaged over the rental), then 15c per MB. Pre-order extra 1GB data blocks for $50.



    • ON ON-DEMAND TELEPHONE

    What is it it?
    Just the regular telephone in your apartment, comfortable and affordable. Untimed local calls, cheap national calls and very cheap international calls.

    How much is it?

  • Connection - $15 once-off
  • Line rental - $1.50 per day

    • ON ON-DEMAND MOBILE

    What is it?
    A service to avoid paying costly roaming charges while in Australia. Simply rent a SIM card (and/or handset), make calls and get billed for them when you return the SIM card.

    How much is it?

  • Connection - $15 once-off
  • SIM card - $1 per day
  • Basic handset - $4 per day
